am I out of the loop?
I don't care about instagram, twerking, facebook, or this new dumb phenomenon called "Taking a #selfie" I'm not grossly entitled to the universe caring about what I do. I don't see the point in getting piss-faced in the same club every weekend. I only have one credit card which I still havn't maxed out, I live completely within my means. I don't care for celebrity gossip. I don't have a traditional 9-5 because I can't tolerate managers treating me life a pile of crap for exercising my rights as an employee. I have a life outside of the money I earn. I'm also one my few friends that has moved out of my hometown to explore new cities, countries, and to live life to the fullest Is there something wrong with me? How can I get back in to this "loop" the whole of the western world seems to be in.
Why do I feel like there is something wrong with me? I want to better myself in terms of education, intelligence, and creativity. Everyone around me seems to want to dilute themselves into a shell of what they ever were. Am I the only one who walks away from all this noise and thinks "I just don't care"?

Maybe because you think you should aspire for more in life.. Something wholesome, exciting, and simple.. As long as you enjoy life, you are doing fine... Live life by your own code, not by the code of others.. There's nothing wrong with you, you just seem to be getting paranoid cause you don't live your life like most people.. In my opinion and from my preference, being "most people" is a bad thing.. Enjoy the simple things in life and make the most out of what you have an don' t take it for granted.. Be happy, love, laugh.. Enjoy
A great way to find that extra spice.. to better yourself of creativity is to write stories, read stories, listen to GOOD music, look at art, create art.. For me philosophy is how I find my intelligence an education, but I love to learn more about other things as well..
Find your place in life that makes you feel content an happy, if you already have maybe some doubts are the problem here.. We all know what it feels like to question the potential of what we really could be getting out of life, and sometimes it leads one down another path to pursue new things...
Maybe you are at a crossroads of some sort or feel as you have been walking the same path for too long an wanna find a new one that's exciting or beneficial to your catalog of life experiences.. I can't really say for sure, none of us can really tell you how to get more out of your life, it's up to you to pursue new things and explore your surroundings..
Maybe you just find all of that stuff in the loop you talked about just ignorant, dumb and a waste of time... This is something to cherish an embrace... Life goes on ^_^
There is definately nothing wrong with ya..
It's completely normal to aspire and desire things, to grow.. To want to be something more.. to better yourself -- if anything it's a great thing!
The loop doesn't seem like an ideal place for one such as yourself and thats nothing to be ashamed of, it's something to be proud of.. Embrace it.
Hope you figure things out :)

I cant say if there is something wrong with you or not just by looking at your short personal essay about "yourself".
I would have to know something more about you.
Personally i too never cared too much about the things you mentioned.
Popular things.
I always did my own thing but i have to admit there ARE some things that are popular that i like as well such as movies or yahoo answers.
I love both very much.
I just want to say that not liking what is popular doesnt mean there is something wrong with you.
Its hard i know.
You feel lonley and left out and maybe weird.
The whole world is doing something but only you dont do any of these things.
The whole world is crazy my friend but if you KNOW WHO YOU ARE never give it up for the LATEST THING.
Sooner or later they will realize that going from popular to popular is a dead end in life.

Yes. In my non-professional opinion, there is something wrong with you.
You seem to question what you think is important to you and are afraid that you are being "left out' of something that you claim not to care about. You are lost in the sauce as far as your personal values and identity is concerned.
I don’t believe this to be a philosophical issue in so much as it is a psychological one. Perhaps some counseling from an actual professional psychologist would be beneficial.
Good luck.

You don't want to be in that loop, and nothing is wrong with you, if you can legally support yourself and live, continue.
for a start,
Twerking is stupid as ****
Hashtagging is stupid as ****
#selfie is stupid as ****
Going out every weekend and getting **** faced is stupid as ****
celebrities are stupid as ****
I don't have a credit card
I work 8-4
have facebook
Nothing wrong with having a facebook account, it's a means of connecting to people and seeing the news etc.
It's mostly society hypes that come and go, twerking is unfortunately still in existence and once girls realise that no decent guy with life prospects will date them because of twerking the better

There are many of us who refuse to follow the 'norm'. I too resist face book, selfies, celebrity, clubbing. It all bores me. I was never into superficiality. I'm proud of that.

In a world inhabited by 7 billion other people, you'd be a fool to believe that you're the only one who has walked away from the "noise". This isn't a philosophical matter, it's a statistical fact. Whether you feel there is something wrong with your philosophy and lifestyle compared to the masses is primarily a psychological and sociological issue, probably due to peer pressure. Bottom line, if it makes you happy and it doesn't needlessly make others unhappy, stay out of the "loop".
