Gays,,Gods creation or mans choice?

If I made a choice to be gay, I sure don't remember doing so... But then, I don't remember actively choosing to like broccoli more than cauliflower -- even though I do. I suspect that like most human behaviors, being homosexual is a complex mix of genes, hormones, epigenetics, cultural norms, and yes, a little personal choice -- if only the choice to embrace the different feelings you have, rather than repressing them. Prior to religiously-inspired laws in the 3rd Century, most males in the ancient world seem to have been bisexual in their behaviors (we don't know about their orientation as that is a 19th century concept) and this carries through to statistics today that show that many straight males have homosexual experiences in their teen years. If your god exists -- and I see no reason to think that it does -- then it either put this in human nature directly, or at least did nothing to prevent it. A creator god who did not want any homosexuality could have made only heterosexual sex feel good and no moral prohibition would be required, nor would free will (which modern cognitive neuroscience shows is also a myth, but I digress) be violated.

Sexuality is, fundamentally, attraction. Why do you find attractive who you find attractive? Oh, sure, there are some reasons based in science, but if it were all science we'd all have the same opinions on who is or isn't attractive. For instance, I like short girls with dark hair... or redheads. I could never tell you specifically why I like that type, but I do. If there is no identifiable genesis of the idea from a person's head you can't say it's a choice.

Dude, dont put your self down for bei g who you are, I have know many gay and lesbian, been around it all my life,(my friends mother was gay, and I worked at a amusement park that had alot of gays sorking there), im straight, so I would ask this question, and NEVER did I get its a choice, all said they where born that way. But dont put your selfdown, your a human being, and being gay is just a part of who you are, I will say, I would ask" why not just try being with a girl, you never know".the response...."ok I get with a girl but you gotta be with a man...". That always made me laugh....so in my eyes...you where born that way, yet you where also born what ever race you are, and how smart you are, how loving you are, how anvry you can be.......ect.ect.ect

An action is a choice. Period. Lust or thoughts are to be taken captive, according to God, so you won't sin. Homosexuality is a sin. Period.

God cannot hold accountable someone He created to be homosexual. Yet, He said that homosexuals will not enter the Kingdom of Heaven--and that is what He calls the church. One cannot be a Homosexual and a Christian as they are diametrically opposed.

Any sexual act is a choice unless it is rape

No one contests that some have same sex urges and attractions but GOD did not give them these. And HE expects you to glorify HIM in every single way. That means that all must abstain from such activity or be judged by GOD for it. And scripture is clear that that said judgment is utter destruction.

I never chose to like women(am a guy). It just happened after I hit puberty. The answer is that it is neither man's choice nor god's creation, because god doesn't exist( at least the Christian one). You are who you are, no need to be ashamed of it.

I'm not sure if this is true but correct me if im wrong:

If someone claims they choose to be straight, doesn't that make them bisexual. You must be able to receive sexual arousal from either sex to choose between them. Arousal is a body response to stimulation such as visual attractions to the body, so if you choose to be straight, does that mean you were also sexually attracted to men, but you choose to control it? Making you bisexual?

If people had a choice i don't think many gays would be gays, because of the hard lifestyle they life.

homophobes are closet homosexuals because any 100% heterosexual person KNOWS sexual orientation IS NOT A CHOICE. I couldn't choose to be attracted to the same sex if my life depended on it.

Asians are born Asian, homosexuals are not born homosexual. The way you look is not a choice, but the things you choose to do are. Behavioral parenthood traits can be passed down genetically, dirty minded thoughts is was triggers gay behavior in the male brain.

If men vow to keep their minds clean from filth, then not one man would ever be interested to marry the same sex.

It's a choice. Since you are Christian which I am too did you know that in the bible there is a partthat says something about God wanting to destroy a city because the people were homosexual. Being gay in my opiniom is like your slapping God in the face and using your using him as nan excuse to sin. It goes against how God made us. Remember Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve.
