I have recently come across a topic in R&S about whether or not being gay is a choice or you are born with it. I myself am a gay Christian man and I know 100% that I was born gay,,my earliest childhood crushes were on Elvis and other males. Nobody in their right mind would choose the dark cloud of homosexuality to hang over their head. A Chinese person does not 'choose' to be Asian,they just ARE. People are so fond of saying 'you chose your life,you chose to be homosexual,God created you to love the opposite sex.' This is not true,,at least for many. Anyone care to offer their opinions or story?

I know you dont believe in any God or gods but do you acknowledge that Jesus existed on earth simply as a historical figure like Caesar or that he never existed altogether? Yes or no and why?

My entire life I have answered questions and tried to explain in the simplest way possible what it is we do and dont believe. If I have one more person tell me I am going to hell for worshiping the Virgin Mary I think my head will explode..This and so many other issues people have with my faith,,My real question is ... WHY wont people educate themselves on something before they come at you with a sword to rip you to shreds about your faith..Why do atheists feel the need to ridicule my beliefs in the Real Presence in the Eucharist? I have searched far and wide for an atheist to talk with about religion in a rational,mature respectful situation and I still am empty handed. I really am beginning to feel like atheists are just really empty lost souls with cold angry hearts who have nothing to bring joy to their hearts. Why do you feel so compelled to be so mean to me and insult me for what I believe in? I respect your choices and your freedom to live life as a non believer. cant you respect MY choice and just talk with me about it? I dont understand and I really want to know.

It seems like every time I get on youtube,,yahoo news or any other public forum and there is mention of the Pope,,Jesus,,Christianity,,etc..There are countless atheists commenting rude and negative remarks about the topic.If you dont believe in God,,why are you so interested in joining in on the conversation only to slander and ridicule those people who are there for a real discussion..?? If I dont believe in something I generally just dont get involved because it doesnt interest me..When I see an article about the Kardashians I skip it and move on to something that I am interested in reading...Do you feel it is your duty to tell people they are wrong for believing in somethng that you dont believe in or understand?
