Why do Communists/Socialists like to say Jesus would have supported Communism/Socialism?

When Communist nations are notorious for not allowing freedom of religion? It would be like saying The KFC Colonel Sanders was a vegan and would have supported forced veganism legislation.

Why would Jesus want to do away with freedom of religion? What do you think?

Because Jesus believed you are responsible for your brother/comrade's well being and that money is the root of all evil. He made a point of casting out the money changers from his father's house and was know to say, "it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven".

    >When Communist nations are notorious for not allowing freedom of religion?

Jesus doesn't allow freedom of religion EITHER! If you don't believe in him you're hell bound no if's ands or buts.

    >Why would Jesus want to do away with freedom of religion?

It has a lot to do with the ten commandments and that whole "you shall have no other Gods before me" bit God/Jesus is pretty clear he's not cool with other religions that's why those people will burn in hell for their disbelief.

Plus Jesus was an obvious HIPPIE look at his hair and the band of riff-raff he hung out with remember his Dad invented weed. Not to mention all the free wine he was handing out on a whim how many wine vendors did he put out of business, we'll never know. And don't get me started on Jesus' health care plan not only was it free he was bring people back from the dead! How many health plans do you know of that cover demon exorcisms? Jesus believed in a "free market" as in free of charge for everyone including women and he died a pauper at the hands of a fascist Republic turned Empire.

  • Because all the early socialist experiments were Christian based.

and the majority of modern socialists are as well.

Because left wingers lie constantly about everything. And this is just another one of their many lies.

They preach blasphemy in the name of the Lord. That's like candy with frosting on it, to a liberal.

You are confusing socialism with Leninism, Stalinism and Maoism. Socialism does not demand atheism, it's just a sensible thing to do.

    > Because some of them lack grown-up literacy.

    > Because some of them are mentally-ill.

    > Because some of them are lying liars lying lies out of their lying lie-holes.

All of them - and in all cases for one of the above reasons - expressly claim Jesus said to petition your government to FORCE OTHERS to pay RICH bureaucrats to administer POLITICALLY-defined "help" to POLITICALLY-chosen beneficiaries despite the extremely easy-to-prove fact the NT exhorts us each to use OUR OWN resources to address legitimate needs and NOT to "help" the idle.

Well, if you're going to harp on freedom of religion, then many CHRISTIANS would be fine with prohibiting that too. That's no offense to them, they'd gladly suppress other churches.

I don't think Jesus would have supported anti-theistic big "C" Communism. However in the Middle Ages, monasteries often practiced a form of communalism where the priests and monks "shared" everything in the monastery. I think Jesus would support communities based around that ideal.

Jesus spent his entire life as a member of the proletariat and his message was intended only for the members of the proletariat
