how to become a pharmacy technician?

I live in San Antonio Texas.

I'd rather not go to school for it.

Also how can I transfer between states?

Do I need to take extra training or something?

I've looked at the Texas pharmacy board website but I don't know what I'm looking for on there that'll get me started.

    Texas Pharmacy Technician Requirements

    Pharmacy Technician Trainee:

High school or equivalent or be working to achieve a high school or equivalent diploma

    Register with the Board

Must become a Pharmacy Technician within 2 years of registration

    Pharmacy Technician:

High school or equivalent or be working to achieve a high school or equivalent diploma

    PTCB certification

    Register with the Board

So you can work as a pharm tech trainee and once you gain experience. you can take the PTCB exam and then become a pharmacy technician. Or you can self study (since you don't want to take training) and then take the PTCB exam and start off as a pharm tech vs the trainee.

To transfer between states depends on the state you transfer to. Each state has its own requirements so it would be difficult to tell you specifically what you need to do without knowing which state you will be relocating to.

contact your local community college for programs

so u can get employed - easier faster.

legally u can study for the cetification board in TX.

u will still have a hard time getting employed

    with out the schooling..

ur local librarys have books on passing the tests.

as for 'transfering' between states depends entirely

    on state u going to.
