Why won't my parents let me drink?

They will be doing it in your best interests. You are legally able to drink though so that's kind of over the top. I do understand though. I think the younger you start drinking the more likely it is for you to become dependent. I'm speaking from experience. Your parents care but not allowing you to drink at all isn't very fair. You're an adult, you should be able to make your own decisions.

probably cause you live under their roof. Who knows what their reason is for it. Just drink out of home and you'll be fine. One or two with dinner isn't anything to get worked up about either, save it for when you go out. Im legal too, and my parents always start to give me 'the look' when i have a drink at family dinners etc, especially if im about to have a third (even though im no where near drunk and been drinking a couple over a long period of time.) Just something you have to deal with.

Their house, their rules. That said. You may want to look at how and IF your parents drink. There is often some family history that would explain the disapproval easily if you look for it.

That is unusual. Maybe you act very irresponsible and they are just assuming you'll do something stupid

If you still live at home their house their rules.

If you have moved out do what you like.
