straight iron trains your hair to be straight?
So I have a friend who told me that high end straight irons like Chi or something would actually train your hair to hang straight after some time. Is this true?
Her hair used to be wavy but after straightening it everyday for a while it hangs straight now even when she doesn't straighten it. I don't know if it's a change in her diet or a new shampoo, but is it possible that it's actually the straightener?

It TAMPERS the growth of your hair, so I guess that's training your hair to go STRAIGHT.
When I say it tampers the growth, your hair is dead. Wikipedia. But it has static electricity, when you use heat, it sends currents to the roots, TAMPERING it's growth, making them grow slowly, or none, finally they get thinner & thinner until they fall out.

It takes 20 years of bad hair days, for women to figure out what to do with their hair, and it takes 20 years of trying to fix it, using various hair products that can do more harm than good. It is part of a billion dollar business.

Its a lie. Basically it stays straight now because it's been burned little by little

I haven't noticed a difference in my natural hair after 3 years of use of my CHI flat iron. It might be a change in routine, but I highly doubt using heat on your hair affects your hair's natural texture.

There is no possible way to do that, It might have been a change in diet or shampoo as you said. And also you don't need an expensive hair straightener, but a good heat protectant.
