I have a question about income taxes?

My husband collects social assistance and he found a job last year and gets paid cash but we got married 3 months ago. He's been calling the office to stop payments but he's still getting it. We live in a apartment and I was wondering will the government wonder how am affording the apartment on my check alone but he's getting paid cash and paying half the rent. He's now going to get paid by cheque. Should I be worried? I live in canada

Any change in status requires notification to the government..you will when you have to file again for both. Any over or underpayment

will be adjusted accordingly. Keep track of your attempts of trying to notify them. They can't hold it against you for trying, and do what you need to for surviving in a good way.
