Where is the "choose category" option when asking a question?! HELP!?

I was trying to ask a question about facebook and my question keeps AUTOMATICALLY being listed in the Yahoo Products category! I deleted and tried again but the option to choose the category is NOWHERE! So I can't pick the category. Yes I know I can change it after posting the question, but what good is that? Every time I edited the category to the facebook category, my question does not show up in the Facebook questions, like it's not listed (even after changing it to that category, as I said). So how the f is anyone looking at the questions in that category supposed to find and answer my question if it doesn't show up there?! And is anyone else having this problem of not seeing an option to choose a category when writing your question?

Update:

I have managed to get the question I was trying to ask today into the right category only because I added the word "facebook" in my question, so it automatically put it in the facebook category without me having to switch it. But obviously that won't work for every question I ever ask, so I still am having the problem of the category option not showing when initially posting my question.

Some people get the option, some don't. It may be site related (as in US versus UK), or it may be browser related, or it may be something entirely different. Some people state that if you START in the category your want to ask your question, it will GO in that category. So try that strategy first.

However, moving the question to another category doesn't "hide" the question. Level 7 users move questions all the time - and they still show up in the category they are moved to.
