WHY ARE ATHEIST OBSSESSED WITH RELIGION?

Atheists are the trolls of religion. They delight in mocking religion and those who follow it. Trolls are like that, they look for arguments and only to cause distress in other people.

Obsessed? Really? Name names, cite references to back this extraordinary claim of yours!

The argument/debate/discussion so far which started over 2000 years ago when the first preacher opened his big mouth:

Religion: "there is a god", "god made everything".

Atheist: "I see no reason why I should believe you. Show me evidence that proves your claims are true".

Atheist: "does 'god made everything' include extraterrestrials"?

The atheist lacks a belief in anything supernatural, no more, no less. A lack of belief in a deity doesn't mean I believe in the lack of a god. One of those things is a belief, the other is not. The atheist makes no claims regarding whether a deity exists or not, and so has no burden of proof. Religion makes the claims, therefore religion has the burden of proof which to date, has never been satisfied. As with a murder trial, it takes evidence to convince a jury to convict, and so too, does it take evidence to convince me there is a god as religion claims.

Not All but:

Bcuz they arent always sure and still arent convinced yet, but are still trying 2 find the answer unwittingly. Faith is a hard thing 4 "seeing is believing " type folk...or for people with just painful experience that dont understand, believe or trust that there is a higher power bcuz of all they have personally witnessed. They take things personal. Their spiritual sense is turned off because the heart is a motivator and alot of times, it is pained and bruised. Their fustration blinds to faith and hope alot of times and their tolerance for believers are low. They cant understand how someone can be so "dumb and.gullible " , but in some cases their envious... and those are the ones that have at least some hope for peace in themselves.. but then there are other kinds...and this other kind just doesnt have it In their heart & doesnt care.. like "@#$% the world.. God doesnt exist.. stop printing him on our money

You seem to think that intelligent and annoying are opposites. Is this a measure of how annoying you are?

Incidentally, the reason atheists pay so much attention to religion is because we are attempting to halt the damage that it causes. And slowly, but surely it is working.

Why are Christians obsessed with atheist? It seems to be their way of showing how superior they are, but it really proves the opposite by showing their insecurity in their own faith. Not all Christians, but most.

I do it because I find it funny that people actually believe stuff like that. I like to get a laugh out of reading questions much like this. I also like seeing the responses. In my opinion, extremely religious people (mostly Christians) have lost touch with reality. How can you think the world is 6000 years old when there were civilizations older than that? Sorry for sounding like a d*** but you need a wake up call

Intelligent? How smart do you have to be to believe snakes and donkeys can talk?

I dislike with a passion when a group wants to have their homophobia voted into law or any other move to legalize any form of discrimination. Education? Don't get me started.

No, most are not. TV and internet atheists are, because it's their job. Common atheists won't even bring it up, because they're not ineterested in discussing it.
