added to much transmission fluid and need to draw out a quart.?

I changed the transmission fluid and filter on a 01 Pontiac Grand Prix and added a quart too much. How can take a quart out without removing or loosening the pan? I thought about getting a small hose and running it down the fill tube and siphon a quart off.

You can try that. I know it is done on older caravans. I think you will need to get the hose from a medical supply company. Look for a video online so you know the best size to get, you want the largest size that will fit.

When filling, I think car needs to be warm, level and you have press brake and put car in all gears for 15 seconds. Not drive just sitting at idle. And reverse. Fill 1/8 quart at a time. Repeat process, check level.

Siphoning the fluid would be very tricky. You will need to buy, or rent, a fluid pump.
