Searching for extraterrestrial life, but isn't he the one who wanted to spend millions of dollars on a wooden boat?

Yeah, the quest to increase our understanding of the universe in which we prosper sounds like total rubbish.

It's not like the Earth is going anywhere in a few billion years when the sun explodes. It'd be wise to sit here on our rock and pray to fairies.

    yes nasa is wasting money

nasa is wasting a lot more then building a wooden boat

wasting billions of dollars by nasa is far more bad then wasting 2 million dollars.

In March 1966, NASA officials briefing Congressional members stated the "run-out cost" of the Apollo program, aimed at achieving a manned lunar landing, would be an estimated $22.718 billion for the 13-year program, which had begun in 1959. According to Steve Garber, the NASA History website curator, the final cost of project Apollo was between $20 and $25.4 billion in 1969 dollars (approximately $136 billion in 2007 dollars).[14] The costs associated with the Apollo spacecraft and Saturn rockets amounted to about $83 billion in 2005 dollars (Apollo spacecraft cost $28 billion (Command/Service Module $17 billion; Lunar Module $11 billion), Saturn I, Saturn IB, Saturn V costs about $46 billion in 2005 dollars).

Science is never a waste of money. The technology we build searching for extraterrestrial life could have any number of uses in the future. You never know the significance of any one technological advancement until you make it. For instance the guy who invented a giant machine that could do simple math obviously could not have known that one day 'computers' would revolutionize the world.

I'd rate Ken Ham as the Kanye West of Creationists.

He has nothing good to say or do, he just has money from the people he has suckered.

I keep hoping that one day he'll announce that his entire public persona has been a performance art piece, and that it's every bit the joke it appears to be.

Who cares what Ken Ham (or any creationist) says about anything, especially science?

Well sure he'd say that, since religion is intellectual suicide, so why bother remaining curious about the mysteries of the universe?
