If the Russian aggressors, then why Ukrainian military refused to fight and cross the border Russia?

It's high time people on this forum know the facts. Russia is not invading anywhere. Those Ukrainian soldiers could not shoot their own countrymen just because those in the east are Russian speakers. They are still Ukrainian. The Kiev government is a criminal regime trying to put down the dissent in the east where two regions declared independence from Ukraine, not to join Russia as the media keeps saying. The conflict has been going on for months.

These soldiers sought protection in Russia from the fascist Ukraine regime. This is not the first time Ukrainian soldiers have resigned because their own government doesnt care about them. These soldiers are not taken care of, lack of food, supplies and pay. Kiev got $18 million from the US. to use toward their war against their own people, most of which probably went into oligarchs' pockets.

This is how the self defense forces in eastern Ukraine got a lot of their weapons initially. The Ukraine soldiers handed them over to their fellow Ukrainian citizens.

People must realize the Kiev government has authorized the military and other forces to kill over 1,100 Ukrainians.

The whole war in Ukraine started due to a US backed coup- to oust Yanukovych. there is a great peace plan on the table- the biggest obstacle is Obama does not want it. Speaking as an American Orthodox convert - it seams to me everyone I have met from the eastern part of Ukraine has considered themselves to be Russian.

There are many in the Eastern areas of the occupied the separatists, and they are saying to the Russians that they don't support the separatists, but don't wish to fight them either and want safe passage home.

From what you say the Russians have accepted that and will take them by bus around the occupied areas

Half of Ukraine is Russian speking another half speaks Ukranian. Ukranian speaking part known as "Bendery" started all the war, killing innocent citizens that reside in the Russian speaking part of Ukraine, because those guys refused to join Euro Union, instead they wanted to join Russia again. There is a slight possibility that Ukraine will be able to join Euro Union anyway, as it's country is extremely poor and is burried in debts, owes a lot of money to other countries, including Russia.

They ran out of ammunition and crossed to keep from getting captured and murdered by the "separatists." They DID NOT "defect."
