what is the grammatical term for the label a pronoun for temporary reference?

In case that made no sense, lol , ill give a fill in the blank example where the answer im looking for should be in place of (BLANK) ...

I heard bob got a sex change yesterday. I hope hes happy now. Or , instead of he, would she be the correct (BLANK) to use when referring to bob?

Sorry, wasnt necessarily trying to be funny with the example, just seemed a good way to do it lol

If you dont know, or the term/label or w/e doesn't even exist, id even appreciate some fancy sounding suggestions for a good term or w/e. Like, referential substitute, or something lol. Ty

Pronoun is the word that goes in the blank. He is the right pronoun to refer to me.

You need a different example, because this example isn't showing a "temporary reference", whatever that is.
