Going to sound funny but it WORKS - without harsh chemicals. Soak a sponge or rag in HOT water and place it over the sticker and leave it in place for oh...15 or 20 minutes. Scrape as much of the sticker off as possible (an old credit card works well). Then, smear the remaining sticker with peanut butter. The oil in the peanut butter will break down the glue on the sticker and after about 30 minutes you should be able to slide the rest of it off with either a cloth or whatever you used to scrape the sticker off in the first place. Reapply PB as needed until gone (if the sticker has been there a while, it could take a couple of tries to get it off but not usually).
