How long will homemade fruit muffins last?

If a put them in a sealed container either in the fridge or pantry for a few days, can I just give them a quick zap in the microwave each morning and take to work?

They should be fine for 4 or 5 days, but will last longer in the fridge. Wrap the muffin in a paper towel and zap it for about 15-20 seconds.

I stick baked eggs, a muffin or two, a couple sausage sticks or bacon strips in ziplock and zap them on medium for 45 seconds. Hot breakfast for on the run!

Ah ha! My mother used used to do this GRAND trick to keep our muffins nice and fresh! Boil eggs. Take that thin layer of skin/papery stuff and cover your muffins in them. Then, wrap them in a layer of freezing cold icebirg lettuce. Drizzle the concoction in honey and store in a restaraunt-grade freezer. Unwrap...heat up...and enjoy the warm, fluffy, baked goodness that you created....

Yeah. They start going stale at about day 4.
