I need some relationship advice?

I got out of a serious relationship about a year ago with a guy my age. I am 32 and was pretty devastated about the relationship ending. Well, since then I have been on a few dates but here is the thing...all of the dates I have been on are with men that have been twice my age nearly (one was 55, the other was 61!). I try not to be judgmental so I thought, well I'll at LEAST go out once but I felt like they needed something to 'start their engine' so to speak.

Obviously, it just didn't work. Nothing in common, and not even similar life goals. I have never been married and I don't have kids. I have 3 college degrees and a great job so I figure I have at least a little bit to offer someone. My question is this: NO ONE and I do mean no one even close to my age has crossed my path or even shown a glimmer of interest in just hanging out (I mean, I'm not asking for a marriage license here). Everyone is much older. I'm seriously starting to wonder if that's all I'm able to attract into my life! My mom says "well what do you expect? Everyone your age is married with children and all that's left for you are the leftovers." At first I thought she was just teasing and joking around but over time I found she was quite serious. When I asked her why I can't meet anyone close to my age (or within 10 years of me) she again stated a similar comment about "men my age" "already having their lives". I'm feeling really defeated because even my cousin and aunt have said to me "well, you won't meet anyone your age. You needed to have met someone in college and you didn't." Honestly, I was really hurt by that comment.

So, is my family right? Thank you in advance. I am feeling so discouraged.
