What was that vaccinne that colleges require a couple of years ago?

An outbreak of something in college campuses.

And colleges were requiring a shot that is not normally given by the doctors?

Anyone know what the heck I'm talking about?

Was it the kissing disease? What is that called?

I think the vaccine you are talking about was for meningitis. Possibly for hepatitis B. There is no vaccine available for mononucleosis (the Epstein Barr virus), also known as "the kissing disease".

The outbreak was in the University of Pennsylvania and later Princeton.

The problem is that all of the afflicted students were all ready fully vaccinated. So what good did the vaccine do for them?

I think you mean a meningitis outbreak.

The kissing disease is mononucleosis. Meningitis is much more serious.
