Pros and cons of 2011 Kia (Rio)?

Update:

I'm confused on how dependable and "good" (in every way) a Kia is. They used to be cheap and sketchy choices, but I've read a lot of reviews on Edmunds that paints them as great cars. So I'm looking at possibly buying a 2011 Kia Rio and I had my eye on a Soul.

Are they still options to avoid? Or are they built better now?

Kias have come a long way! years ago they were thought to be a throw away car company. Costly to fix and poorly made. Today the maker has made their mark. The Rio is a car designed for the entry level car buyer. It is meant to be a basic transportation car not having high end radios, sound insulation, premium paint etc. They do get good fuel mileage and if maintained right provide miles and miles of good driving. A trip to a dealer for a quick check for problems can save you tons over the years from a bad choice of car to buy though. All car makes have cars of the same make and year that just don't work out right.

Thanks for considering Kia. The Rio is a reliable and safe vehicle that comes packed with features and an industry leading warranty. We recommend visiting your local Kia dealership and take one for a test drive.
