clubs finished now - in terms of being a powerhouse in the game, nobody shows them any fecking respect at Old Toilet and go there with the intent to sniff out blood and BEAT them there - and do lol
now teams play them like its a cup final - they're the new Liverpool of the early-mid 90s , when we were in the situation they're in now.
so now they can relate - and their new lot can begin to understand what it felt like when we declined.
having said that - they still have a strong core and a more importantly have brought in a proven world class manager with years of success and experience under his belt.
I still don't think they'll walk right back into top 4 easily - they can but it will be hard work. Right now their job is just to get off to a flying start in the prem and build on that - that might WAKE THEM UP again and bring back memories of how good they use to be under Fergie...

Only 3 defenders who are past their prime have left, they still have players such as rooney, rvp, and mata
