Texans breaking news: Bill O'Brien opens up QB competition for the starting job!?
He was asked earlier today if he is rethinking the QB rotation and responded with "...you’re always thinking about things that can make the team better, whether that’s a change in the depth chart, a change in a scheme, a change of a position of a player, whatever it may be. We’ll continue to discuss that today."
Fitzpatrick obviously played horrible, even when he played against the 2nd team defense. It shouldn't be too long before Keenum unseats him.

I totally agree with you. After what happened last season, this should seem like a no-brainer. There is very little reward for the Texans by starting Ryan Fitzpatrick. Let's face it, Fitzpatrick has zero chance of being a long-term solution for the Texans. Also, if Fitzpatrick struggles out of the gate, the Texans will be at the same crossroad they were last season, and they will be forced to start Keenum.
If the Texans were smart, they should start Keenum from day one, and be patient. Sure, Keenum may struggle at times, but those growing pains will be all worth it.
