he has probably had a comment made to him by his parents!
its easy to seem as though we are taking them for granted if we go straight to hi s room. we ought always to spend a minute or three talking to others ,especially parents. this is social oil and keeps things working smoothly. show an interest in them their life etc.
why stay in his room? no funds? is it not important to simply walk . drive etc see around us and join in socially. ' anyway. do bring subject up with him. say yo are disappointed that he didn't mention it you you first. is relationship going stale?

you are doing into their house you should say "HI! not just let yourself in without their permission, he is under their roof and if he does not interact with his parents that is his choice but you cannot be rude to them!
if your not happy and he thinks You "DOG" you then why are you with him, find someone else to date
