Whats the pental for murder on an unborn child?

It's not murder. If an unborn child dies, it depends on if it was the mother's choice. If so, that's called an abortion and it's legal in many places. If a woman is assaulted and loses her pregnancy, it's still not murder, but it's considered assault which is illegal.

My very brief research tells me that attacking a pregnant woman and causing her to miscarry would be aggravated assault, as harming the foetus would be classed as gratuitous cruelty. I'm not sure what sentences people have received for this in the past.
