Man trying to grow long hair?

I have medium length VERY THICK wavy hair. I'm trying to grow long hair. As of now, its medium length and curly at the edges. Will the curly hair straighten when it becomes long due to the weight or will I have to straighten it?

Wet or spray your hair, finger comb, that will tame the curls & frizz and you're good to go!

My husband's hair was frizzy & pouffy when I met him, 42 years ago. When he goes to work, he kept his hair short, or gel on top, to keep them in place. Since 2011, when he retired, he started growing them into a pony, and yes, the top got straighter, the ends same-o. But I cut 6" off, because he tossed & turn during the night making his hair too hard to brush, but that was a couple of years ago. He now know how to listen to me, and keep the pony tail low, so they're intack, avoiding frazzled hair!
