Man trying to grow long hair?

I have medium length VERY THICK wavy hair. I'm trying to grow long hair. As of now, its medium length and curly at the edges. Will the curly hair straighten when it becomes long due to the weight or will I have to straighten it?

First, start taking biotin. It's a B-vitamin (B7) that claims to strengthen hair and nails. Data to support this claim is weak, however, in my experience (and my friends' experiences), it led to hair that breaks and falls out less. (No more waking up to a pillow covered in hairs.) Take it with a meal. If you're unsure about taking it orally, consider trying it topically; there are a variety of hair products, from shampoos to serums, that contain biotin.

Next, avoid anything that stresses the hair. This includes:

    - Brushing hair when wet. Brush it when it's towel dry/dry with a wide-toothed comb to avoid breakage and split ends.

    - Rinsing hair with hot water. Colder water holds moisture better.

    - Dying your hair, because the process can leave hair dry and damaged.

it'll lose some of the curliness if you grow it long, you want have to worry about it being too curly!
