So Confused about what career to choose!!?
I am really interesting in retail and fashion. I want a job in a boutique but its hard to find one. I cant get a job ANYWHERE and NO ONE wants to hire me because I lack experience but also BECAUSE I AM PETITE (Small) and I AM BLACK. I decided recently to start volunteering at some OpShop just to get experience, but i dont really enjoy it that much there and I feel like Im wasting time there. Im thinking maybe i should do a makeup course, because im into beauty stuff as well, and if i dont gain employment at the end of it, i can always start a small bridal business. My issue is, i dont want to spend 8THOUSAND DOLLARS on a course, what if i dont end up liking it. Especially at the moment, I dont feel like studying right now. I dont know the work involved, and i dont want to get up every morning and travel to the city to get to the makeup school. I feel like i have wasted so much time already, iv been sitting at home for months doing absolutley nothing and im sick of it. My life is going nowhere, i feel stuck. I1 dont know what to do.
By the way, the $8,000 is money i have been saving for a year, i dont want to waste it on something like makeup course. I dont want to regret it.

First, you need to overcome your personal stigma about you, and perhaps consider desigining and making your own clothing line. Next, get some retail or design experience in the industry, this could be through the community college classes/professors who have contacts galore. Try other approaches. I think you may actually be fantastic with your spirit

As you love beauty things you could do some advanced level beauty diploma withing $2000. You can do diploma in laser technician. After complete the course you can work at medical spas, laser centers and doctors’ offices, ophthalmology or plastic surgery, especially for doctors who practice dermatology.
Nowadays there is good demand of laser technician and their salary also high rate.
According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, skincare specialists can expect a job growth of 25% between 2010 - 2020, which is considered faster than average.

you need experience,,, work somewhere instead of volunteering
at least that way you will earn money
work any fast food place for at the very least 6 months.
make up classes are expensive,, and the average pay is extremely low,, considered one of the degrees that pays out the least.
