Theyy never were in fashion. Skinny jeans, yes. Leggings, yes. Jeggings? Never in fashion anywhere outside of the trailer park/WalMart crowd.

I dont believe there is such thing as out of fashion, because its just a trick to make people buy more clothes or jumping on the bandwagon (dressing like everyone else).

Also, who on heaven sake would inspect your clothes day in day out anyways? If you love to wear them because you like the style and find them comfortable, WEAR THEM.

Also, there is one thing called "personal style" and thats something you "own" yourself. You CA N wear something that were populare in the 1920's IF YOU like them and wear them without trying to be someone else.

Dressing after what is consider being trendy/fashionable, just make you become somone who are obsessed to be like someone else (sorry if you dont think you are that, its just my impression when people ask this sort of question.).

For example, Ive a feminine yet classic styles. Such as pearls, blazers, dark wash jeans, tailored clothes, feminine colors, lace, ruffles, skirts and dresses over pants etc. Also, I love kitten heels which were populare in the 50's and there are many people who think they are "Outdated" and grannys'.

But the thing is, its not they who are wearing it. Also, there are something called vintage/retro. Fashion from a different decade (I think 80-90's is now the trend decade because of the croppped shirts that can be found anywhere....). Wearing something vintage wont make a person look outdated, UNLESS they wear it from top to toe like an costume! :P

If there were a group of people who suddenly told you, your favorite drink or food is "out of fashion", would you stop eat/drink it? (Cheezy question perhaps, but its similare. Fashion is usually something that alot of people like to wear during a certain time period.).

However, you CAN follow the trends if you want to, but what Im trying to say is that you CAN still wear clothes that are not trendy if you like them.

As far as I know, jeans leggings (or jeggings, denim leggings) are quiet modern (something manufactured recently) im the mid- to late-2000s and it is STILL a populare choice of many to replace the Skinny jeans due to their better elasticity, making them more comfortable even if they are tight fitted.

Personally, I prefer to wear jeggings (or treggings, trouser leggings) over regulare spandex/cotton leggings because they are thicker and would still wear them decades from now, because *I* like them, not because the magazines are telling otherwise!!

Im not an expert (so any fashionista/trend-setter/designers-whatever, dont eat my answer if you disagree.), Its just an OPINION.

Source(s): Personal Opinions, Style lover, not a fashion lover. Wear what YOU love, not what other people love.

No, a lot of people still wear them. However, it's not a good look, because jeggings and leggings are underwear, not pants

No jeggings are not out of fashion. If you look at websites such as new look river island asos...etc you can see that they are still selling them. I don't think they will be going anywhere anytime soon,

I have a few pairs as they are easy and comfy and look good :)
