Will a PCI Express x16 2.0 supportable graphics card work well with a PCI Express x16 3.0 supportable graphics card.?

    Yes, provided you're not linking them, and they are either (1) dissimilar hardware, i.e., one Nvidia, the other AMD; or (2) from the same vendor, i.e., AMD, and can run with the same driver.

    In the second case, if the cards are from the same vendor but are different hardware generations, a driver compatible with both models may not exist.  In this scenario, both cards couldn't be used, because two different driver versions cannot be installed.
