im interested in subcultures like emo or goth and i dont know who i am, so do you think i should be what i am interested in?

Emo is just a music genre, as a starter.

And life is about finding who you are. It's not something that happens in a couple of days, months or years. You have a right to be interested in anything (actually doing is another story for example you can be interested in murders but I would advise you not to carry it out) so why not?

If you're interested, that should lead to research being done and that means you are educated on those certain things, like me.

You may even find you have lots of similarities with one, become part of the subculture and be happy like that. Long story short, I did, but it's different for everyone.
