Throughout all of Islam there is an on-going practice of coercion over non-believers. I have lived in Muslim countries and I have found many good persons, however, they cannot become tolerant of others until they live in western countries. Once they live in a western country then they seem to adopt a much more peaceful perspective.

However, there are others who maintain a suspicion of all things western, and a fear that foreign cultures will corrupt Islam. They become radicalized and believe that the west is at war with Islam, hence they use violence to defend Islam.

Which part of the Quran tells Muslims to kill non Muslims? No part says that so ISIS and Islam are different things. Just like Zionism and Judaism are different. All this this stuff is political not religious
