Do you think Shannon Briggs is good for the heavyweight boxing division?

Personally, I think he is an embarrassment and a joke. He represents something really wrong about the sport. He is entertaining not because of the way he fights but with his antics. He has been Stalking Wlad all over, talking a lot of ****, when all it really translate too is he is a broke ****** desperate for a money fight.

Oh dont get me wrong please, I understand that hype is important to generate interest. And sure guys like B-hop and Floyd wanna talk a lot of trash. But at least they put the money where their mouth is, and earn their paycheck. Shannon is that dog who likes to bark a lot but cant really bite. He talked a lot of trash too when he fought Vitali, but he looked really pathetic during the fight. He couldnt even hit Vitali back, and he nearly got killed.

What has Shannon done lately to prove he is a contender? Oh lets see, he has been fighting guys that are so fat, he does not even need to throw one puch to KO them. All he needs is make them chase him around the ring till they gas out before the bell in round 1 ends. And now he deserves a crack at Wlad?

I am saying this is not helping the division at all. We need competetive fights, not trash talkers who cant even put the money where their mouth is. Next thing we know, you dont need to fight your way upto contention. You only need to talk endless trash to get a fight

Briggs had his chance to be a legit champion. He had good size and power, and a decent bit of skill. What he never had was discipline. He lacked the focus to be a true competitor and mostly got by on his size and talent against lessor opponents or faded fighters. While Wladimir is more vulnerable than his older brother, I think that Briggs would fail miserably against him just like he did against Vitali. He doesn't have what it takes to be a champion, but he doesn't have anything else to fall back on so he is looking for another big pay day. That is not good for boxing.

Hes a can for sure. The whole stalking Whlad is staged between two. Whlad is in on it, to see if someone is desperate enough to put this fight on.
