It may well be the Queen of the United Kingdom, or the Queen of Canada.
It most certainly will not be the Queen of England who died 300 years ago.
Queen Elizabeth II is on the face of the note currently with the Vimy Ridge memorial on the back. The 'window' displays the Peace Tower.
Controversially it has a foreign maple leaf instead of the sugar maple which is the national emblem of Canada. Oops.

There is no living Person who Is Queen of England. There is Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. She is also Queen of Canada (held separately from the British throne) and it is in that role that she appears on the Candian $20 bank note.

She is the Queen of the United Kingdom and the British Commonwealth, and not the Queen of England. AS Canada is part of the Commonwealth she will be shown on any Canadian Currency, as she is in New Zealand and Australia.

Ahh, thanks for the answers peeps. All good ones. And yes, for those who corrected me when I said "Queen of England"... Thanks for the correction. I don't really follow the royal family and things like that, so I was a bit confused when I saw Queen Elizabeth II on the Canadian $20 bank not. Thanks again :)

Yes, it is definitely she. I should know her anywhere!
She is our Queen, for sure! You don't get to be on our Twenty note, you know, without being our Queen.
