Long but I'm scared and need an answer!!! Please help!!?

So, about a month ago I had sex for the first time. We used a condom and everything was fine, no breaking or anything like that. About a week maybe two after I started birth control for painful cramps during my period. But my period wasn't due for about a month after I had sex. My doctor said that I would probably miss this period because if how the pills worked, meaning I most likely wouldn't get it for about 6 weeks instead if the usual 28 days. But then I got it, or at least I think so. It was odd, i got cramps for about two days and then the bleeding and pain got progressively worse. Usually I just kinda get it one day and the bleeding and cramps are awful, but they get progressively better not worse. I've heard that the bleeding getting progressively worse can be a sign of miscarriage, which scares me. Does anyone know what this could be?

This does not seem like a miscarriage at all as I doubt that you were pregnant. It just seems like a really heavy period.
