3 Gallon Aquarium Stocking?
Hi, I have a 3g tank and I wanted to know what should I stock it with? It has the Tetra Whisper 3 Internal Filter and an LED airstone. The aquarium is the Tetra 3g HalfMoon Bubbling Led Aquarium Kit. It has been cycling for 4 weeks. I was thinking a betta but what do you guys think? Also I added a big rock from outside when I got the tank. I use it to weigh down the LED air stone. I washed it with water for about 30s twice. It also has a hood. The air pump is the Tetra Whisper 10. It is connected to the filter and the air stone and the flow is adjustable. I dont have a heater now because my water stays about 79F because it’s summer and if I get a heater the water will get too hot. I will be getting one for my birthday though in the first week of october. So let me know what you guys think!!!:)
BTW I also added gravel and 2 medium plants from a cycled and established aquarium!!!
I didn't boil the rock, I just washed it. Should I take it out? I'm scared now:(

I would suggest a Betta and a large snail. There is not much that you can do with a 3 gallon.
Bettas all have own personalities and i'm sure if you got one it would be suitable for your tank.
Seems that you are very prepared for this responsibility!
Other options are:
shrimp (ghost shrimp are cheap and durable)-help clean up after fish/betta
african dwarf frogs (NOT CLAWED) -downside is these guys are really stupid and don't know how to eat.
Good luck stocking!

I don't recommend dwarf frogs, they wouldn't do well in such a small space. So maybe a nerite snail (they don't breed in freshwater) as well as a betta at most would fill it to capacity.
However, did you check if the stone is aquarium safe and doesn't leak anything into the water? Or rather, I'm just wondering if you picked a river rock or a garden rock? Because the latter needs testing and the former should be sun dried before introducing to the tank. And you should also boil it or at the very least pour boiling water over it in a container to make sure you haven't introduced anything into your tank.

NOTHING - no fish! Minimum size aquarium should be 10 gallons. In 3 gallons you can keep a small frog or snails - but NO fish period.

I would stock what Yves said, but I would recommend something larger (like 5 gallons).
I would do a micro terrarium and put a venus flytrap.
