My 2 turtles are becoming aggressive and I need to split there tank in half until I rehome one. I was thinking a sheet of plexiglass in the middle with a bunch of holes.

Before you say that they are not compatible because they need different temps. Fancy Goldfish need ~74F as they thrive and warmer temps and Plecos need 72F+ so it fits both their needs. There is 3 Fancy Goldfish (~3"-4") and 1 Pleco (~4"). I have heard stories of them sucking on their slime-coat but after 1 1/2 months of having them, I haven't noticed anything. The pleco only comes out of night and stays in his cave. Ocassionally though, I would put an algae wafer in the cave the goldfish will come in the cave. The pleco just kinda pushes them away but doesn't chase them. I keep the pleco well fed with Mopani driftwood, zucchini, and algae wafers. The tank is a 55G and I have 2 Filters made for 70G/ea and is a total of 650G/hr.

Don't know breed. He is ~4". Tank is 55G. I have driftwood but he doesn't eat it. How many algae wafers do I feed him. I have been feeding him 1 wafer /night.

I currently have 2 African Dwarf Frogs. While researching them, I found they may carry Salmonella! I am a 14 Year Old and I do everything asscosiated in caring for the frogs, feed them, change water,etc. I am scared because I have a baby sister who is 5 months old. And a little sister who is 6 years. The tank (5G, has 2 frogs) is on a stand in the living room. Should I return them or should it be safe if I wash my hands with soap really good, and I am the only one to touch the tank. On the stand, it has some extra space so we also keep keys there, so I am worried that one day while I am cleaning the tank, some water drips on the keys or sun glasses and makes my family members ill. I am worried because my grandma just got Salmonella from dining outdoors. And she is really sick so what if that happens to us. I will definatley return them if they are a risk. I just bought them for PetCo yesterday (Sunday). Please Help!!!

I want to add Quikrete Pool Filter Sand to my aquarium. I currently have small gravel in there? Can I just put the sand over the gravel or do I need to take the gravel out then put the sand. I know it's safe and it won't cloud the water.

It currently holds 2 Fancy Goldfish and 1 Goby Pleco (will only get ~4"). It is a tropical set up and temp is ~76F. I have a filter made for 70G aquariums. A heater, Driftwood and a couple hiding spots. Have plenty of aeration. I do 10% water changes 1-2x a week.

I have I Fancy Goldfish who had 1 scale come off. The other scales look fine. It's a 55 Gallon Aquarium with 2 Fancy Goldfish (~3"-4"). And 1 Pleco (4"-5"). Aquarium is not cycled. I added a Cycling Aid and have plenty of oxygen. The temp is 74F-76F. I have a 12" air stone, 1 round air stone, and a power head to create oxygen. I have an Aqua Clear 70 Filter made for aquariums up to 70g. I feed small amounts 1-2x a day. The Pleco eats algae wafers. Again it's only 1 goldfish that has this issue. I got him 1 weeks ago from a LFS. His scale (1) fell of 2-3 days ago and is healing but I'm still worried. I know that Test Strips aren't accurate but my readings are: pH=7.5. Nitrate=5, Nitrite=2, Hardness is 70. Alkalainity is 150. I know my Nitrite is high so I'm doing 15% water changes 2-3x a week. All fish are active and are eating good.

I heard if you have a lot of oxygen, higher temps, and a cycling aid product should cut the cycling time to less than 2 weeks. I have a 12" air stone, an LED air stone, a power head, and a filter to create a lot of oxygen. The temp is also 86F. And I used API Stress Zyme which also includes live beneficial bacteria. Will all this make my aquarium cycle faster? BTW It's in my 55g and the filter is an AQUACLEAR 70 that runs 300g/hr.

I have a 55g with a 18" Aqueon Full Spectrum 15W Light. The hood is meant for 2 bulbs but I only have 1. Is it possible for me to add live plants?

I just got a free used 55g aquarium with filter, heater, hood, and all accessories. I want to kill all bad bacteria that may be in the gravel and filter. I heard vinegar is good but how much to use and how? Also I have some Lime Spots on the glass that go away when I add water but then dries and shows up again, how do I clean that? Thx!!

I just got a FREE 55 gallon fish tank of the curb. I cleaned it really good with water. I rinsed the gravel with HOT water. It includes a Heater, Tank, Hood. It has a filter but it doesn't work. Can I just use my 2 filters that I have? They are 100g/hr each. What kind of fish should I stock it with? I will use the seeding process to cycle my aquarium.

I just got a 55g aquarium for FREE off the curb. It has no cracks and holds water. It included a ton of décor and a big filter and a 200W Heater. Oh and an airstone, gravel vaccum, hood, and lights.

1. What can I stock it with?

2. Cycling? I have 3 10g cycled aquariums. Seeding my aquarium?

3. Care for fish?

4. What else do I need?

I have about 20 fry in a 1g tank with no filter. I want to move them into a 3g tank with a Tetra Whisper 3i Filter and a Heater. They are all at least a month now and have color. I want to know this:

1)Will they get sucked up by the Tetra Whisper 3i Internal Filter? I have 2-3 that are almost 1/2in and some are 1/4in

2)Will my air stone annoy them?

3) It has only been cycling for 3 weeks but I added gravel and 2 plants from an established aquarium, will it be safe?

4)How long until they grow big enough to put them into the aquarium with their parents?

I am going to start a new landscaping buisness and needs some ideas for a name. The managers name is Antonio. We want something friendly but still cool. Thanks!!!

Hi, I have a 3g tank and I wanted to know what should I stock it with? It has the Tetra Whisper 3 Internal Filter and an LED airstone. The aquarium is the Tetra 3g HalfMoon Bubbling Led Aquarium Kit. It has been cycling for 4 weeks. I was thinking a betta but what do you guys think? Also I added a big rock from outside when I got the tank. I use it to weigh down the LED air stone. I washed it with water for about 30s twice. It also has a hood. The air pump is the Tetra Whisper 10. It is connected to the filter and the air stone and the flow is adjustable. I dont have a heater now because my water stays about 79F because it’s summer and if I get a heater the water will get too hot. I will be getting one for my birthday though in the first week of october. So let me know what you guys think!!!:)
