Apostasy would be if you tried to teach false doctrine within the church (or without). If you just refused to believe it, then know it probably wouldn't be apostasy. If you tried to teach a diff story or a straight out refusal of the story and really pushed it so that you are contradicting the church openly trying to get others to join you, then yeah, you would probably be in a bit of trouble.

If you don't actually believe the Adam and Eve story, though, you probably shouldn't be going to the Temple.

Seriously? It's almost every single Sunday I hear someone say how important the fall of Adam and Eve was in our Heavenly Father's plan of salvation. We may have a different interpretation of the story of Adam and Eve, but their story is a huge part of our doctrine.

I'm totally lost as to why you think that there is a widespread issue in rejecting the story of Adam and Eve.

It's not only in the bible, which we accept as scripture, but in the Book of Mormon, doctrine and Covenants, and in detail in the Pearl of Great Price - I don't know any other story that's detailed like that in all of our scriptures. It's absolutely doctrinal and not rejected.

that's a very generic question. A 5 year old might not accept the teachings found in revelations...and that's not apostasy.

    What are the specifics?

Mormons do accept the story of Adam and Eve. Not sure why you picked this particular concept for your question.

Probably. Any public disagreement with The Brethren about any point of doctrine (or even church history in some cases) is considered "apostasy" within Mormonism.

that depends....accept what about the story of Adam & Eve?

I dunno about apostasy, but since the Fall of Adam and Eve are essential in the plan our our salvation, and since we teach about Adam and Eve in our churches, I guess it would be somewhat apostate for someone in our church to disregard it.
