Do you think it's safe to say that he is not interested anymore?

We've known each other for a few years and just started getting close since January of this year. He use to text me all the time and always say sweet things to me. Now he just will text good morning and good night with the X's and the O's and still calls me hon now and then, but has dropped the darlin and sexy and has dropped the conversations. We see each other a couple times a week for a short time through our jobs but isnt as excited to see me like he use to be. I really do still like him an awful lot and I do tell him I miss him and he will say he misses me too but still his actions are basically non-existent. I want to know what you think and do you think it's safe to say it's over. I dont want to lose him and I dont want to ask him because I dont want to push him. Should I just back off completely? Thanks for your help.

Well I'm not sure I can say its over because it sounds like it never started.

What I mean is...have you only had a texting relationship with him? Have you two gone out at all? If the two of you have not dated then there's not much that happened other than flirting with each other.

As to why he seems less excited, it's so hard to know, guys do this a lot and frankly it's one of the things about guys that confuse me (and all girls) the most.

I say back off altogether. You need to make him initiate contact. That's the only way you'll know he's still untested. BUT, I would not waste time with any guy who ONLY wants to text. Why hasn't he asked you out?? Kinda sounds like a head game to me, I had this one guy do something similar until I got so sick of it I told him to leave me alone.

No guy should keep texting and flirting with a girl if he's not going to take action. It's kinda stringing her along.
