The best majors for a future law school student or medical school student?

I am a freshmen in college at the moment and I am indecisive about my career decisions for the future.

I wanted to be a lawyer but then found out that it is hard to obtain a job in the Law field due to the fact that there aren't enough jobs but a high demand of people who want the jobs

I also thought about being a doctor but I couldn't make up my mind about that.

What major is the best for a future law school student? I'm majoring in Political Science but I'm currently thinking of adding Economics as a second major or just removing Political Science and majoring in Economics and English or History. I don't know what to do.

And if I wanted to go into the medical field would I need a science related major or can I major in something else?

I don't know what to do.

If I want to be a lawyer, I want a major that will help me have a 180 on my LSAT so I can go to NYU law school and if I want to become a doctor, I want to have a major that will help me score high on my MCAT test. I want to be very successful.

You got to be very careful, the jobs that were in demand 10 years ago are worthless right now, an example is a graphic designer. You can never go wrong in the medical field. Keep in mind that not every student begins making a fortune right after college. You got to build experience and try a couple of jobs. Good luck.

Law schools do not care what you major in. There's no pre-law curriculum either. You should choose a major that will emphasize critical and analytical thinking -- which is, frankly, most of them, if you study them intelligently -- and also research and writing skills. Lawyers have majored in everything from Anthropology to Zoology.

Aspiring doctors do not have to major in a science, though many do. As long as you complete the pre-med courses, you can major in whatever you wish. I happen to know a doctor who majored in Poli Sci.

Check with your campus pre-med advisory office about the pre-med classes you must take to be admitted to medical school.

For college major options, choose one that land you a job on its own in case law or medical school doesn't turn out as planned. See http://bitly.com/1kXtY4w for college major ideas.

Business. Business knowledge is immensely valuable in either medical or law (especially law) careers. As an aside, it is not horribly difficult, and can provide you with a decent income should you not go to law/med school.
