I am setting up IP cameras and have a question. Wifi or ethernet connection?

Update:

My concern is after the hours of setting these cameras up to work wirelessly, if the power goes off, will I have to run ethernet cables back to these cameras to set them back up? They are in hard to reach locations and would rather leave the ethernet cables connected than have to get back to these cameras later.

Once they are set up (via wired), to use wireless, they will remember those settings. No need for wired connection after that.

Probably wired connections, especially is they are PoE cameras. The Ethernet cable will connect them to your network and power them at the same time. Very handy feature.

Always Ethernet connection. More reliable than wifi. Faster than wifi. Will be easier for you to set it up as well. Hope this helps
