I need some help and ideas for my driver's licence photo?

I live in Queensland, Australia, and i'm going for my P's test next week, and when i pass i get a new photo and licence. My last photo looks so terrible, when i was 16 i had blonde hair (which did not suit me AT ALL) and wore heaps of eyeliner on the bottom only, so yeah it looks so bad. I have dark brown hair (almost black) now and brown eyes, with fair yellowish-based skin. I just need some tips on what sort of makeup to wear and some good hairstyles ( i hate having hair pulled back heaps, half up half down is best for my face shape). Also, we aren't allowed to smile in the photo so what sort of expression/positioning etc should i do in the photo, you can get away with a slight smile (more like pulling the corners of your lips up a bit) but thats it. I just really dont want my photo to look as bad as the current one, thanks in advance :)

  • NO smiling, not even a slight smile.

Your hair MUST be out of your face. They'll hand you a nasty hair tie if it isn't.

Makeup must be fairly natural, no cat eyes, bold lipstick or anything really obvious. Otherwise they hand you a packet of makeup wipes.

Depending on how long you have held your learners, you might not even get the opportunity for a new photo. I didn't get a new photo on my P's, they just reused the same photo as was on my learners. You don't have to get your photo on the day of your test either, I did my test on a Saturday and had to wait until Monday to get my P's.

Another thing you need to know is you are NOT allowed to drive after the test. Regardless of whether you pass or fail, you will get told in no uncertain terms NOT to drive after the test on the day of the test as the emotions you will be experiencing will make you a dangerous driver. They're pretty extreme, I did my test earlier this year and even though I passed first go, there is no way I would have been safe behind the wheel after the test.

honestly, we dont think you should do anything that drastic. get some honey brown highlights or something. because if an individual want platinum blonde hair, you are going to have to bleach the heck out of it.
