Should I buy new tires or just equip my car with used ones?

It is going to be around $400 to buy four new tires. The other option is to just keep buying used ones individually as others expire.

my tires are currently outdated and one of them just blew.

YOUR LIFE, and the life of others around you, isn't worth four hundred stinkin' buck$? IF you are either too poor or too mean to pay for a SAFE set of new tyres on your car, you have no damn business being on the road. I have ALWAYS driven ALL my cars on matched pairs of new tyres on each axle, which has meant changing some as soon as I have bought a few used cars. I accept nothing less, and neither should anyone else. You want to know how many tyres have blown out on me in 31 years of high-mileage driving? NONE.

Get new rubber, or get off the road. Or your head-stone will read "Too Tight To Live".

Tires are the most important piece of safety equipment on your car.

    It's your life.

Tires are simply too damn important to go cheap. Buy new.
