Were the jews still being persecuted after the end of ww2?

Was there still antisemitism after ww2? I know for a fact that Hitler wasn't the only one that persecuted the jews. After all, anti semitism was all over Europe.

Can someone give me some examples on countries other than germany that committed acts of violence against the jews, especially after the war?

Sure there was a pogrom or mob action against jews in Poland in 1946. Stalin wasn't enamored of jews and was considering a major crackdown on the them just before he died.

EDIT We're all aware of continued antisemitism in europe today but the difference is that it's the work of fringe groups without mass or official support as in the late '40s.

It is convenient to assume it was a European disease, but the fact is that racism and religious persecution was being practised quite vigorously in many nations. It is also worth noting that some Jews (not to play into Lily's poisonous hands) were committing acts of terrorism in Palestine after the end of the Second World War.

Yes, obviously. Just spend 5 minutes on Yahoo Answers and you'll see plenty of anonymous racists expressing violent anti-Semitic opinions.

There is still anti-Semitism - stupid people doing things like putting graffiti on Jewish places of worship, breaking windows, shouting names, all that - throughout Western Europe [including the UK]

Apparently it's still alive and well today. See article below
