Fantasy Football help. Where do you think is the drop off of Team Defenses? Which defenses would you be comfortable calling 'elite' in FF?

Statistically, there is very little difference between team defenses on a given week in fantasy football.

What I have learned works best is to play the matchups...use a defense that's going against a poor offense, or an inexperienced starting QB. For example, Jacksonville has a horrible offense. The odds will favor you if you can pick up the defense that Jacksonville is playing, most weeks.

Don't even worry about getting an "elite" fantasy defense. When you draft, pick your defense near the end. Be willing to change defenses often to exploit the matchups. And NEVER carry two defenses on your roster.

Defense is not as important as many people say it is. Over the course of the season, there is not much difference in fantasy points per game. That being said, don't feel like you have to trade to get Chicago DEF. There are many other decent to good defenses out there. Take San Diego. It went undrafted in my league and is now part of my team. Don't worry that much.

I completely agree @Hurricain. Problem is, in this league, the defensive stats are amped up (just a little, but enough). That means, many of the ten teams will grab two defenses, because it's really hard to play that strategy of switching your defense every week. We are also limited to 25 moves, unless you want to pay extra, so there's that. THoughts?
