It was actually a statement of kendrick wanting to be the best rapper out there and not being afraid to call out names of his best friends (like j cole). He showed that he is ready to fight to become the king of hip hop and give his best. Statements like that do change the game every time they are made. I think it motivated many other rappers to believe in themselves and have the same confidence.

  • Yessss it has proven that Kendrick Lamar can diss anyone with a half@$$ name dropping verse and get more acclaim and praise than others who got back at him with stronger lyrical diss and it once again shows the domination of an Aftermath and its artists over hip hop as I bet the track "Control" just cause of Kendrick's verse would be having more views on YouTube than all the rebuttals combined.

yes, you made a thread about it.

but yeah, it proved to me that 90% of the rap game was weak, everybody who responded to him was so ******* bad... and I'm not even a kendrick fan, but he exposted too many people
