How many of you are disappointed in Glenn Maxwell in not getting a century against Zimbabwe?

He was looking at a dominant position with 93 runs from 46 deliveries. It wasn't pretty seeing him getting dismissed at such an outstanding score.

So what are you're thoughts at this absurd dismissal?

Update:

Though it has been quite a while since the match I'm only asking this because tomorrow is Australia's next victory and I wanted to speak a piece of my mind.

Australians are not glory hunters. He played for the team, and made the result unreachable.

Actually I want to say that maxwell is coming of age, he is someone who can turn a game on its head with his great hitting, almost 200+ strike rate when he gets going.

The Aussies have always believed that a big contribution resulting in a win is better than a century going waste, in a losing cause. I also believe that till he is doing his job & leaving the stage for his teammates to continue from his launchpad, its not going to disappoint the man himself, let alone his fans.

Once he gets the mindset for slowing down for his century, then he will try to concentrate, else he is just trying to murder the ball within his reach, be it early on or in his 90's. So he's living by the sword & dying by it as well. His wicket is really important, if opposition team wants to stay in the game, so he has made his place & centuries will happen in future for sure.

  • Maxwell is not a glory hunter, he plays for the team unlike a few other batsmen we've seen over the years.

His 93 off 40 odd was far more useful for the team than for him to have stalled in the 90's and taken another 15 or so balls to get to his century.

    Centuries are overrated

EDIT: I'm sure he'll make plenty of big scores in the future.

We just want fours and sixes from Glenn Maxwell - no need of centuries.
