Would Porsche exist if there wasn't Volkswagen?

    Almost certainly. Ferdinand Porsche was involved in auto manufacture as early as 1898 and designed cars for Austro-Daimler in 1906. The Porsche auto company itself began in 1931 and Volkswagen production started in 1934.

    Would VW have existed without Porsche? No... so it follows that Porsche would exist without VW.
