Does biodiesel work fine in regular diesel engines?

biodiesel has been refined to work in regular diesel engines, yes. If you just want to use straight used cooking oil or something like that, you need a diesel engine that's been altered for that

yes, it works great! The only drawback is it's harder to start in cold weather, so maybe not in the winter.
