My laptop has a Trojan?

I have a new laptop and purchased Mcafee virus protection with it. It ran a scheduled scan and to my surprised found a Trojan virus in a manufacturer browsing files. Mcafee said it could not delete it the file so I went into my programs and deleted it myself think it would solve the problem but when I ran another scan it still found the Trojan in the same file I deleted? How do I get rid of this thing before it does damage? I read that some people re-installed their OS but no discs or software was shipped with my laptop because it has no optical drive.

Mcafee is probably the worst paid AV... if you can afford 20 dollars, get kaspersky.. it's money well spent

try these free tools from kaspersky

    virus removal tool (avptool) http://www.kaspersky.com/antivirus-removal-tool?fo...

    TDSSKiller http://support.kaspersky.com/viruses/utility#TDSSK...

edit: I will say that it's also essential to have malwarebytes as skunky suggested.. it can find and remove some trojans.. but it has a hard time with some sophisticated trojans
