In WWII, Churchill said this about at the time prime minister Chamberlain:
'Mr. chamberlain takes a weekend in the country, while Hitler takes a country in a weekend.'

Churchill also knew that Chamberlain was dying of cancer and had prepared the country for war.
The air force that fought the Battle of Britain was created by Chamberlain.
Churchill was the right man for the job but without Chamberlain butyng time and preparing the armed forces we would have lost. Churchill never gave Chamberlain the respect and credit due to him.
The weekend in the country was for exploratory surgery - verdict death.

I don't think Churchill did say that, the ever-reliable internet comes back with more hits as it being closest to an Adolf Hitler quote.
