That is the thing about the earth. Everything is interconnected - man can only go so far and he will alter things to his own detriment. Humans will die off the earth will restore itself and, hopefully the lessons of history will be preserved and mankind will do better next go round. Not counting the flood, there are many cullings that have happened throughout recorded history. Most severe was probably the plague in the beginning of the modern era that precipitated the "Dark Ages". A smaller one but more recently was the flu during The Great War (WW I). Could be we are due, time will tell. To an extent modern medicine and technology has made it more difficult, but nature finds a way. Increasingly more bacteria are becoming resistant to antibiotics, difficult to treat viral infections are popping up. The human immune system is degrading. Depleting soil has reduced the nutritional value of crops, cancer which was once just an old peoples disease now affects all ages in increasing manifestations. Ultimately nature will win and restore balance. Science really has only acted to delay the inevitable and prolong the suffering. Ultimately nature catches up. The more the inevitable is delayed, the more severe things will be when nature does catch up.

When cockroaches infest a house, you clear out them out. So the words of Revelation is such a statement on what God is going to do about those ruining the earth.

(Revelation 11:16-18) 16 And the 24 elders who were seated before God on their thrones fell upon their faces and worshipped God, 17 saying: “We thank you, Jehovah God, the Almighty, the one who is and who was, because you have taken your great power and begun ruling as king. 18 But the nations became wrathful, and your own wrath came, and the appointed time came for the dead to be judged and to reward your slaves the prophets and the holy ones and those fearing your name, the small and the great, and to bring to ruin those ruining the earth.”

No, the earth will not be ruined beyond repair. It also means that we would not want to share in ruining it today. We do not to be radical environmentalists, but we can do things in a proper way not to be adding a burden on the earth's systems.

No. Jesus will return before that happens. When the Bible says that there will be a new Heaven and a new Earth, the English word, "Earth" is an attempt to translate the Greek word "Eon" which means " A very long span of time, such as an "age". What the English translation of the Greek New Testament should be is that when Jesus returns there will be a new Heaven and a New Age". The Old Age of sin and death will be gone and a New Age of justice and righteousness will begin. The Bible states that when Jesus returns He will "Rule the Earth for 1000 years and also that Satan and all of his evil spirits (Demons) will be chained in Hell during that 1000 years and unable to influence humans.

After God flooded all of the Earth to stop so much over sinning, God said the pain was too server! That He would never kill us all again! That We will do it ourselves!

With all the Atom and nuclear Bombs we have stored under ground, it would not take much for Our killing ourselves beyond repair!

If you watch "The Lazarus Phenomenon" on DVD and FREE over this Internet, you can see what the new Heaven is like.! For people that died and stayed dead for a while, have been show this!

If you built a beautiful house and leased it out to someone who abused it would you destroy the house or would you evict the person?

God created a perfect beautiful earth and as we see it now man has mismanaged the earth to the brink of destroying it. What is God going to do?

(Psalm 37:10, 11) Just a little while longer, and the wicked will be no more; You will look at where they were, And they will not be there. 11 But the meek will possess the earth, And they will find exquisite delight in the abundance of peace.

    King James Version Bible

    Matthew Chapter 24

3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of THE END OF THE WORLD?

    21. For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

    22. And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but FOR THE ELECT’S SAKE THOSE DAYS SHALL BE SHORTENED.

You will be happy to know that the answer to your question is NO. :-) the bible assures us that God will not allow man to destroy the earth environmentally. He created it for humans to live on it. He didnt make it simply for nothing.Isaiah 45:18. The bible also mentions water, grass, trees, plants, light, such elements are needed for cycles and processes that are vital for LIFE.Genesis 1:1-12. Instead of allowing man to ruin the earth we can be sure that God will put a stop to those who are ruining the earth. Revelation 11:18.

This exciting articles answers the question by showing that the earth and it's resources will remain forever because God decreed this.

    Isaiah 45:18

" For this is what Jehovah says,

The Creator of the heavens, the true God,

The One who formed the earth, its Maker who firmly established it,

Who did not create it simply for nothing, but formed it to be inhabited:

“I am Jehovah, and there is no one else"

    Revelation 11:18

," But the nations became wrathful, and your own wrath came, and the appointed time came for the dead to be judged and to reward your slaves the prophets and the holy ones and those fearing your name, the small and the great, and to bring to ruin those ruining the earth.”
